Who we are:
The Youth Education in Agriculture (YEA) Committee was formed by Illinois Farm Bureau to provide quality programs for agricultural
education in Illinois. Leadership and personal and professional development skills are emphasized for 4-H and FFA members to
help prepare them for careers in the agriculture industry. The committee is made up of representatives from each member of
the Illinois Farm Bureau Family of Companies, as well as youth representatives from 4-H and FFA. The committee plans and
organizes programs throughout the year to benefit 4-H and FFA members across the state of Illinois

Mission:
The Youth Education in Agriculture Committee's mission is to build a strong foundation for the future of agriculture
by providing opportunities of growth that allow youth the chance to find their passions and develop into the people
they want to become. Through participation at conferences, and serving as a representative on the committee,
YEA highlights the importance of leadership by building a strong foundation of skills and knowledge. We empower
youth to be advocates of the agriculture industry in their home communities and throughout the state.
